Aetna, the health benefits enterprise, Tuesday reported Q4 operating EPS above Street views,, but was shy on revenues. The company guided 2017 full-year operating EPS up “at least” 3.9%.
Aetna reported Q4 operating EPS of $1.63, above the $1.44 Street view as compiled by Capital IQ, and up from $1.37 reported a year earlier.
The health benefits company reported Q4 revenues of $15.73 billion, below the $15.88 billion Street view, and up from $15.09 billion reported a year earlier.
In full-year 2017 guidance, Aetna projected operating EPS of “at least” $8.55 a share, up 3.9% from $8.23 in 2016 and below the $8.79 average estimate.
