Shares of Northwest Bancshares (NWBI) were slightly lower Monday after the bank holding firm reported improved Q4 results from the year-ago period which narrowly missed forecasts compiled by Capital IQ.
Q4 EPS was $0.24 per share, up from $0.16 per share a year earlier but fell short of the $0.26 average of two analysts.
Revenues taken as the sum of net interest income plus non-interest income rose to $107.8 million from $90.7 million a year earlier but was shy of the $110.6 million single estimate.
Northwest also said it will distribute a quarterly cash dividend of $0.16 per share, up 6.7% or a penny from the prior quarterly distribution. The dividend is payable on Feb. 16 to holders of record on Feb. 2.
